I bought some new fabrics last week and used some of them on this cushion. I really enjoy doing the applique and get quite carried away on the detail!
I will be adding this and others to my 'not on the high street' shop early next week.
I popped in to a few charity shops today and was very pleased to find this jug for 75p. It will be used for putting flowers in along with numerous others I have!
I also saw a couple of pure wool blankets for £1 and very stupidly didn't buy any. I've no idea why I didn't but it's on my list of things to do tomorrow. I have plans for one and when it's done you'll be the first to see it.
I was passing a house yesterday and out of the corner of my eye I spotted these gorgeous Dahlias. I did an emergency stop not bothering to look at what was behind me and jumped out of the car.

The price ticket said 20p a bunch. Thinking there were probably 10 bunches in the bucket I took one out and there were 4 huge bunches! I grabbed the lot, almost hyperventilating while ripping open my purse to get the money out, threw them onto the passenger seat and roared off up the road grinning from ear to ear!
The cushion looks lovely. And you were so lucky with the flowers.

Your work is soooo beautiful! Love the flowers. Now go and buy those blankets! Quick! I'm always on the lookout foe wool blankets and very rarely find them! Lots of nice comments about my new phone pouch over on my blog! Come and see. I keep looking at it and smiling. Thank you again. Lots of love, Amanda xxx
