Bad Blogger!

I've been a bad blogger.
It's been ages since my last post. I've been busy with orders which is FaNtasTiC and I've had very little time to take photos so I thought I'd show you some photos I took a while ago .
Isn't the detail just amazing?

They've given me lots of inspiration for some sewing.

Have a lovely weekend and I'll try and pop back soon.

Stay at home Sunday

I realise my posts are like buses at the moment. You don't see one for ages then the all come at once!
I've had a stay at home day today. Well, that is apart from a 2 mile brisk walk this morning. I'm trying hard to do some exercise as I don't do any and I realise it's about time I did.
When I got home I was in a cooking/baking mood. I prefer baking to cooking. In fact I LoVe baking. I could make cakes and biscuits all day long.
I started by making some soup for me to take to work tomorrow. I found this recipe on a blog a while ago but I can't remember where.
Anyway, it's very easy.
Fresh or tinned tomatoes,

one or two onions, a jar, tin or fresh peppers, chilli powder, water, tomato puree and bring it to the boil.
Simmer for 15 mins and when it's cool liquidise. Yum!

I recently bought the cook book that accompanies the BBC2 show, 'The Great British Bake Off' and there is a lovely recipe for jam tarts in it.

I thought I'd make them to take in to work tomorrow but unless a few people are off ill there wont be enough to go round as my husband keeps eating them!

Next it was jewellery making time.
Someone at work had commented on a pair of earrings I was wearing so i thought I'd make some more.

Along with some rings,
And of course a cupcake ring!

If you are interested in anything please leave me a message and I'll contact you. I have lots of other colours available too.

They are £5 each (rings or earrings) including P&P

Saturday strolling

We spent Saturday afternoon walking around the harbour deciding which apartment we are going to buy when we win the Lottery!

We decided on one of these. They are a new development and there are quite a few still available.

We walked for about an hour, passing by a couple of Martello towers. Some along the coastline have been turned in to houses. I'm not sure I'd like to live in one though as I like lots of natural light and I'm guessing there wouldn't be much inside one of these!

We watched the boats come in to the harbour and luckily both agreed on the style and colour we wanted.............dream on!

The apartments you can see in the distance look amazing but don't have a sea view so we crossed these off the list.
We finished the afternoon with a cup of hot chocolate. What a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
I hope yours was good too.

Summer loving!

Hello again!
I'm very sorry for the long silence, I didn't mean to be away this long but you know how it is.
Well, I hope you have all had a lovely summer and are those of you who have school aged children, are settling back in to some kind of routine.
Getting up on time on Wednesday morning to go back to work was not easy!
So what did we get up to in the holidays? Well here we go..............

Firstly, photos of the FaNtaStiC Red Arrows. We are very lucky living where we do here on the south coast that we have our very own free air show on the seafront every summer and I never tire of watching the planes.
This year my daughter and I were collecting for the local hospice and were ask to stand next to the RAF tent!! Well ladies, someone had to do it!!

My husband and I went away for a couple of days towards the end of the holidays to Stratford- upon -Avon and on the way we stopped off at Warwick castle. It was, as you can see, a beautiful day and what a lovely castle it was too.

Sorry this photo is here twice but I knew if I tried to delete it I would delete the whole lot and that my friends would make me very angry!

We watched jousting...........

We climbed to the top of the tower...............

And I took my favourite photo of the whole summer!

This view doesn't look real. Fancy living there......how lovely.

Shakespeare's birth place..........

Beautiful houses.............

A leisurely trip up the river.............

"Auntie Em, Auntie Em!"............

We watched this man painting himself silver on the pavement and put his wig and hat on. I have no idea how it's possible for anyone to stand still that long!
I can't wait for the next half term to come along. I'm sure it wont take that long!

I have just placed an order for some business cards from Moo.com and here's a couple of photos that I used for the front of them. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished item.

I've been very busy with orders and I need to pop off now and finish a big one I had in the other day.
Thank you for popping by and I'll try not to leave it so long till I next post!
