Blanket boiling!

Well, I returned to the Charity Shop on Saturday and bought two old (actually 'Vintage' sounds better!) blankets. I was assured they were clean so that was comforting!

I cut them in half and put each half in the washing machine and put them on a boil wash and waited.............and waited..............and waited. I'm not the most patient person when it comes to things like this but the waiting was worth it. I threw it into the tumble dryer and out came a felted blanket soon to be turned into the needle case below.

I'm really happy how it turned out and have started making more. I should have taken more photos of the inside but I'm having HUGE problems uploading photos onto blogger today and to stop me hurling the computer out of the window I'm afraid the one photo will have to do!

I'm also in the process of adding a link from my blog to a shop where some of my bits and bobs that I don't list on my Not On The High Street shop, can be purchased. Please leave a comment if you are interested in any of my goodies.

I have also been busy designing and making more bags for NOTHS and here they are.

I had taken lots more photos, as there are other designs but as i say blogger didn't want to play today so I gave up!

However, they will be listed in the shop later today with more photos.

Off to do some more sewing.

Have a good day!

My computer isn't behaving today and the light isn't good for taking photos for NOTHS, so it will have to be a trip to the coast at the weekend for me and my camera;)

  1. I have fallen in love with your bags! They are simply adorable and chic, while having such a touch of whimsy. I'm a huge fan of Westie Vans, so, clearly, that bag, in particular, makes me very happy. Although, the birdies are so sweet, too....how could one choose between the two? :-) Lovely items, really! Keep up the gorgeous work!

  4. Hi Rosie!

You left me a comment on my blog yesterday, about the post I did on your handmade gadget cases!
Just wanted to let you know that after I came across your NOTHS store and found the cases, I ended up buying your 'Love' Appliqued Shoulder Bag the one with the VW Camper van and I love it!

I posted some pics of it on my blog here: http://the-beautiful-news.blogspot.com/2010/05/lovely-goodies-to-good-not-to-share.html

Thanks Jemma from The Beautiful News Blog xx
